FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

General questions about working with us. For questions specific to a service, see the FAQ on that service's page.

How do we get started?
Book a consultation. We'll ask about your current setup, what's not working, and what you're trying to accomplish, then tell you plainly whether we're a fit before any commitment is made.
Do you offer month to month agreements or only long term contracts?
Both. Project work is scoped and priced on its own. Managed retainers are typically ongoing, but we'll walk through the terms before you sign anything, and nothing is locked in longer than what's in your agreement.
What size businesses do you work with?
Mostly small and midsized businesses that need real infrastructure without an enterprise budget or an internal IT department. If you're not sure you're the right size, ask us directly.
How is pricing determined?
Project work is priced against a fixed scope you approve in advance. Managed plans are a fixed monthly rate based on the size and complexity of your environment. Either way, you see the number before you commit.
What if we already have an IT provider or internal team?
That's common. We can take on a specific project, like a migration or a security review, alongside your existing team, or take over specific responsibilities such as monitoring outside business hours while they handle the rest.
Do you work with businesses outside your local area?
Yes. Most of what we do, cloud migration, monitoring, helpdesk support, and security work, is delivered remotely. We can also work through vendors for anything that requires someone on site.
What happens if something breaks outside business hours?
Managed plans include 24/7 monitoring and alerting, so critical issues are caught and triaged whether or not it's during business hours. Exact coverage is set out in your support agreement.
Can we cancel a managed plan if it's not working out?
Yes. Terms are set in your agreement upfront, and we'd rather you leave on good terms than stay locked into something that isn't serving your business.
